The reworking of Omegon has been underway secretly since last year, with a focus on identifying areas for improvement and exploring what can be done within the existing Omegon framework. We considered adding more drivers, changing switch settings, or adjusting the distribution of frequency ranges, but these options did not feel like true upgrades for Omegon.

Instead, we decided to take a step back and acknowledge the imperfections and practical limitations of our methods and technicalities. We identified several areas that needed improvement, including the bass texture, treble levels, and overall tonality, which had significant room for enhancement. At a deeper technical level, we realized that we had applied inappropriate technology and overwhelming crossover circuit design that lacked consideration for the driver's timbre and overall sound production. Lastly, we acknowledged the lack of a unique selling point.

Given the significant issues we identified, we concluded that the next Omegon would not be an upgrade but a total rebuild. This means that the existing framework no longer applies to Omegon. While many have told us that vocals are one of the strongest parts of Omegon, the rework will make Omegon MKII a vocal-oriented IEM without sacrificing other parts of the frequency range. Instead, it will be a better vocal performer across the entire frequency range.

The rebuilt Omegon will be a totally new device with the same number and models of driver configurations. The redesign will include a totally new crossover circuit that addresses the existing issues in the previous circuit. This will achieve higher accuracy in frequency crossover and reduce overlapping ranges, thus improving overall driver coherence. We have also developed a proprietary technology that maximizes the output and changes the bass texture of a vented subwoofer driver. This will produce bass that rolls quickly while retaining the rumbling energy in a balanced point within an enclosed shell environment.
