In a planar headphone, a magnetic field is generated parallel to the diaphragm through the symmetrical arrangement of grid-array magnets. Signals generated ampere force perpendicular to the printed circuit on the diaphragm, thus causing the diaphragm to vibrate.

Moondrop Venus uses a diaphragm with a diameter of 10mm and a thickness of only 2 microns and the printed circuit on the diaphragm is made of 1um pure silver. The larger vibration delivers stronger dynamics, the thin diaphragm responds to finer details and the pure silver printed circuit results in lower heat loss.

It adopts an unprecedented driver-cavity integrated structure that accommodates a larger diaphragm in a limited volume and overall weight is lowered as much as possible while ensuring the rigidity of the structure that supports the magnetic circuit grid of 36 large neodymium magnets. This special modular structure not only fits the highest-quality components into a limited volume, but also makes it easier to maintain the unit and provide the possibility of replacing and upgrading the diaphragm.
