The FiiO FF3S is an open-back flathead earbud designed to deliver a speaker-like listening experience while addressing the limitations of traditional earbuds, particularly in bass performance. It uses a 14.2mm dynamic driver with a beryllium-plated dome and PU diaphragm, paired with FiiO's patented drum-shaped acoustic chamber and bass-enhancing flute tube to produce deeper, fuller low frequencies without sacrificing the natural openness of an earbud design. Compared to the original FF3, the FF3S is significantly lighter at just 3.9g per side thanks to its aluminium alloy construction, making it more comfortable for extended listening sessions while retaining its distinctive warm, engaging sound signature.

The FF3S also introduces practical upgrades aimed at audio enthusiasts, including a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin cable made from silver-plated monocrystalline copper and interchangeable 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs for broader device compatibility.
