Burson Audio is famous for their innovation and high performance, discrete Op-Amps in the Audiophile market. They have come out with their latest Dac/Amp combo, the Conductor series.
The 3X Performance, Reference and Grand Tourer have been given a newly designed, donned in strikingly looking heatsink case: "The Cool Case". The Cool Case is the ultimate heatsink, significantly increasing the heat dissipation. We all know that Class A amplification takes up spaces for their humongous heatsinks. Burson Audio turned it into a compact yet effective cooling design directly into the case.

The Conductor 3X series also uses the ESS9038Q2M DAC and XMOS USB receiver chips, with a custom USB driver by Thesycon Germany to ensure low latency and bit-perfect audio playback via USB C input. The result is incredible processing power, accurately playing audio up to DSD512 and 32bit/768kHz audio. They also feature a Qualcomm CSR8675 Bluetooth 5.0 receiver, with aptX HD codec which supports up to 24bit/96kHz wirelessly.

Op-amp rolling is made possible with every model of Conductor series. It comes standard with Burson V6 Vivid discrete op-amps. With gold plated DIP8 sockets, users can alter the flavour of the sound via different audio op-amps.Tailoring your listening experience to your preference!

⭐ Burson Conductor 3X Performance

Conductor 3X Performance strikes a balance in terms of price and performance, with plenty of power in reserve, you can drive almost any headphone without an issue. Provided 6W per channel via Class A amplification (for XLR output), it runs most high impedance headphones or demanding planar headphones effortlessly.

Sound wise, the Conductor 3 series has the similar tuning, with well-balanced, neutral-ish signature with inoffensive treble performance. The bass is well-controlled, but still provides a powerful impact whenever the music demands it. It brings out the details in the music, powering every note and space. Vocals are articulative, vivid with a tinge of warmness in it. Treble is relatively tame, without the shrieking sibilance. You can really expect the atmosphere of the music while enjoying the silent background of the music.

The Conductor Performance has the Max Current Power Supply (MCPS) that was developed, owned and used exclusively by Burson Audio. It raises the voltage frequency from the typical 50Hz to 170kHz, well beyond the human hearing limits. This lets the micro-details shine through the pitch black background, having a noise free music experience.

⭐ Burson Conductor 3X Reference

Is it a DAC? Is it a Pre-amp? Is it a headphone amplifier? Why not ALL? Utilising one DAC chip per channel, Class A amplification, the 3X Reference is the all-in-one machine you will ever need. With an all-new OLED screen, you can peruse your options and fine tune your listening experience with filters and settings via a solid aluminium knob.

The MCPS module in the 3X Reference comes with 5 sets of power delivery sections. It powers the display, function, DAC, analogue left and analogue right independently, giving them power to control everything they need.
