Meet the Shanling UA5, their latest, most ambitious and full featured dac/amp dongle launched from the company. Sporting a monochromatic OLED display with an independent volume scroll wheel, a dual ESS ES9038Q2M DAC which users can set to single or full balanced DAC decoding, and dual Ricore RT6863 headphone amplifiers delivering a ton of power to both single ended 3.5mm & 4.4mm balanced outputs. Another unique feature is the dedicated 220mah battery which acts as a hybrid power system, allowing the battery to power the DAC and amp circuitry for up to 6 hours.

The UA5 is smooth and balanced sounding with a bit of warmth to the signature, making the UA5 sound less analytical and more natural but with plenty of detail and good level of air and separation. A top quality powerful dac/amp wrapped enclosed in a well designed metal shell in the palm of your hand.
