Design wise, Tin T2 Evo maintains the signature tank design of the famed T2 / T2 Pro models with minor change on the front plate outlook. While this design doesn’t allow for a secure and isolating fit compared to the ergonomic resin shell type, it does open up an avenue for listeners to wear its wire straight down without looping over the ear. Also if you’re coming from a previous T2/T2 Pro earphone, it should feel straight at home.

Coming after a session of the warm and bassy T3 Plus, the T2 Evo is the exact polar opposite, sounding neutral with emphasis greatly placed on the treble segment. It picks off treble notes effortlessly with abundance of energy on high frequencies. There will definitely be a segment of listeners who will find the T2 Evo being overly bright sounding or what I call too hot to handle. Not helped by the fact that the bass being flatter, linear type with very fast decay, this placed the spotlight on the treble even further. If you’re more of a big bass lover then perhaps the T3 Plus might be more of your liking.

Finally the T2 Evo also has decent left and right channel separation which might entice a specific part of mobile gamers. For ear tip recommendations, my personal pick will be the Moondrop Spring Tips after testing multiple ear tips, mainly trying to keep the treble in check and also enhancing the low frequencies.
