The all new Cayin CS-100DAP is an uber high-quality flagship streamer with included Hi-Res DAC, offering versatile features to become the digital centre of your stereo system. CS-100DAP offers a huge array of different outputs. It can either be output via digital coaxial, optical, BNC, I2S/DSD in HDMI or AES/EBU, or analogue – conversion is handled by an ESS Sabre ES9028Pro – via RCA or XLR.
It offers a high-end built-in headphone amplifier with a 6.35 mm jack on the front, which is automatically activated when headphones are connected.
With Qualcomm SDM660 eight-core processor and a Cayin bespoke Android-based operating system, music can be streamed up to DSD512 and PCM 32 bit / 768 kHz resolution, via Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth.
The digital and analogue processing sections of the CS-100 DAP each have their own ultra-low noise floor, and separate power supply transformers. The streamer can be controlled either via the HD display on the front or the "HibyCast" app. Music can also be played from externally connected media storage, or from the SD card slot as well as USB connections for this purpose. Up to two hard drives in 2.5-inch format can also be integrated directly, for which a slot with SATA connections is available on the bottom panel of the streamer.
